Mere Cricket Club

Firstly on the thanks you very much front is Kevin W and Mark and George C for raising over £500 at the carnival selling Burger and Chips, although I don't believe  on this occasion  they were either triple cooked chips or served in a brioche bun (now avaliable in The Walnut). Moving on to a great golf day at Wincanton where we raised over £800 with the sun coming after a light shower out just as the Yeo Valley Hackers tee'd off, many thanks to Ben and Duncan who organised the day along with Mark C who laid on very reasonable dinner of rather good sausage egg and chips at The Walnut. Impressive raffle and I believe the £20 from multiple winner Matt Pitts is on the way as we type and if he closes his eyes he can almost see that sight screen which will hopefully improve his batting average in a future season

Finally a reminder that we have the annual awards and reflection dinner at The Walnut on Friday 22nd of November where we have lot's to celebrate on and off the pitch, please make a note in your diary and as the date gets nearer confirm to Mark C that you'll be attending hopefully with your partner where applicable.
